BENI M'GUILD, 6'7" x 10'6" feet
Moroccan Berber rug handwoven by women of the Beni M'Guild tribe in the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Winters in the Atlas Mountains are harsh, so the women weave very thick pile rugs to protect them against the cold. Beni M'Guild rugs are usually woven in berry colors (red, burgundy, purple, burnt orange), and sometimes indigo blue and emerald green.
